On Tuesday morning at 1105 hours, Stations 5, 59 and 19 were alerted to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Budds Creek Road and Colton Point Road. Units responded and located the accident on Budds Creek Road just south of the intersection. Chief 5A established the command after locating numerous trees that had fallen on a moving vehicle.
The single occupant of the vehicle was out upon arrival with minor injuries. Crews secured the vehicle while EMS checked on the patient. Due to the large trees that were across the road Company 1 and State Highway were requested to the scene.
Crews worked for about an hour clearing the road to remove the tree. The patient signed a refusal and units returned to quarters at 1226 hours.
