| During the week of June 17, 2012 the annual Firemen's Convention was held in Ocean City, Maryland. The week started on Sunday evening with the Memorial Service held each year to honor deceased members of all Maryland fire departments from the past year. James Woodburn, Mary Nelson and Bobby Bailey of our department were included in this service.
On Monday morning the meetings began and the convention floor was opened. Several units and vendors were on hand with displays. Tanker 5 was on display in the main hall of the center.
On Wednesday after the displays were closed the parade was held. Tanker 5 was released from the convention center and was in the parade line.
The department would like to congratulate all of the new officers of the MSFA this year, especially our Auxiliary President Barbara Nelson for now holding the position of Treasurer in the Maryland State Firemen's Association Ladies Auxiliary. |
