7th District Volunteers, May 28

On Sunday evening at 1929 hours, Station 5 and surrounding companies were alerted a a vehicle fire threatening a structure at Taylor Farm in Bushwood. Engine 51 responded with 4 and upon arrival located a tractor fully involved with extension to a barn. The crew from 51 stretched a handline across the field and quickly knocked the fire. Members Participate In Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention

7th District Volunteers , April 30

On Saturday and Sunday several members took part in the annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention. This year, the events were held in Calvert County and hosted by the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department. No Caption Working Structure Fire In Avenue

Fire Chief J.A. Nelson, April 26

On Wednesday at 1325 hours, Station 5 and surrounding companies were alerted to a structure fire on River Springs Road in Avenue. Engine 52 arrived and laid a supply line from the end of the driveway. Chief 5A arrived and located a two story single family home with fire showing. Chief 5A established the command.

Department Selects Custom Fire Apparatus To Build New Engine/Tanker

7th District Volunteers, March 30

At our last monthly business meeting, the membership of the department selected Custom Fire Apparatus based out of Osceola, WI to build our newest apparatus. The new Engine/Tanker will be replacing our 1997 Saulsbury/Simon Duplex. This will be our second unit built by Custom Fire Apparatus. The first was Engine 52 which has been in our fleet since 2014. 7th District Volunteers, January 08

At 0938 hours Sunday, Stations 5, 1, 2, 7, 9 and 6 along with EMS Stations 59 and 19 were alerted to a working house fire on Dickerson Road in Abell. Chief 5 arrived and located a single story home with fire showing from the Alpha and Delta sides. Chief 5 established the "Abell Command." All occupants were confirmed to be out of the house and not injured.

Department Announces Passing of Life Member Leon Zimmerman

The Officers and Members of the Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department regret to announce the passing of Life Member, Leon Zimmerman. Leon had over 45 years of active service with the department and over 50 total years as a member. He held the rank of Lieutenant for over 12 years and was our fire prevention committee chairman for over 20 years. Leon remained active until his health declined around ... (Full Story & Photos)
