Early Wednesday morning, Engine 52 and Tanker 5 were alerted to a house fire on Whitestone Drive in Piney Point on the second alarm. Crews operated for several hours extinguishing the over 6,000 square foot home. Once clear the scene, Engine 52 handled a transfer to Station 3. Engine and Tanker Respond to Two Alarm Building Fire

7th District Volunteers, April 23

On Tuesday afternoon at 1446 hours Company 6 and surrounding companies were alerted to a building fire at Champion Used Auto Parts. Crews arrived to find the building heavily involved in fire. A Tanker Task Force and second alarm were struck a short time into the incident. Engine 52 and Tanker 5 both responded to the scene. Today several members traveled to Hollywood to take part in a softball tournament with Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department, Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department and Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department. Each department played one game against each other.

Thursday at 21:26 hours, Squad 5, Squad 2, EMS 59, 29 and ALS were alerted to the area of 24298 Maddox Road in Chaptico for a single vehicle into a tree with one trapped. Callers reported that the single occupant was in and out of consciousness.

On Saturday afternoon department members and invited guests gathered at the station to celebrate our 75th Anniversary. This ceremony is happening just prior to the date of the very first business meeting held March 28, 1949.

Fatal Shed Fire In Avenue

7th District Volunteers, February 17

At 2320 hours on Friday, Stations 5, 1, 2, 7, 9, 6 along with EMS Stations 59, 19 and ALS were alerted to a reported structure fire with subjects trapped in the 37000 Block of River Springs Road in Avenue. Responding units were advised there was a shed on fire near the home with a possible person trapped inside.

At 10:44 a.m. on Monday, Stations 5, 2, 1, 7, 1014, and EMS Stations 59 were alerted to a reported house fire on Notley Woods Lane in Chaptico.
