Units Respond To Brush Fires In Colton's Point

On Saturday afternoon, Station 5 was alerted to a brush fire on Colton Point Road in the area of Colton Point Marina. Brush 5, Brush 5A and Tanker 5 responded to the call. Brush 5 located the fire on the side of the road just past the marina. Brush 5A and Tanker 5 were placed in service. While turning around, Brush 5A located two additional fires in the woods at Colton Point Road and Waterloo Circle. The crews from both brush units extinguished the fires. Tanker 5 remained at the scene until all fire was extinguished. The Department of Natural Resources responded because of the suspicious nature of the fire.
