On Saturday evening, Engine 52 with a crew of six along with Squad 7, filled in at Station 2 while their members enjoyed their installation of officers banquet. At 1918 Engine 52 was alerted to an auto fire on Three Notch Road at the Oceanic Gas Station. Engine 52 arrived on the scene to find a work truck fully involved with some extension to the exterior of the building. The crew extinguished the fire and pulled siding from the building. The crew used the thermal imager to check for further extension at the establishment. Once the fire was extinguished the scene was turned over to the Maryland State Police.

Engine 52 returned to Station 2 and did not have any additional runs throughout the evening. Squad 7 was alerted to an odor of smoke in a residence in Charles County and was placed in service.

Congratulations to all of the 2015 Officers of the Mechanicsville VFD. We look forward to working with you this year.
