On Friday at 1010 hours, Station 5 was alerted for the Tanker, Engine and Water Supply to a reported building fire at 28895 Point Lookout Road in Morganza. Units from Company 1 arrived and located a single story apartment building with nothing evident. Once crews made their way to the apartment they found smoke conditions inside with a small kitchen fire. Engine 10's supply line was picked up by Tanker 74. All other units were held on Point Lookout Road.

The crew from Engine 51 brought a thermal imager to the scene to assist with checking for further extension while Engine 52 was assigned to RIT. Once the fire was extinguished and no further extension was found the assignment was held with Engine 10 and Truck 7.

Crews from Company 5 operated on the scene for approximately 30 minutes before returning to quarters.
