Squad, Tanker and Water Supply Respond To Leonardtown House Fire

Early Wednesday morning, Leonardtown and surrounding companies were alerted to a structure fire on Medleys Neck Road with possible subjects trapped. First arriving units located a single story home with smoke showing. One occupant met units outside and after speaking with them they determined no other occupants were inside. Crews extended handlines and extinguished the fire. Crews were met with significant hoarding conditions which cause difficulty during the operations. Squad 5 assisted with search and overhaul. Tanker 5 stood by in line for a tanker shuttle which was not needed. Units from Station 5 returned to quarters within two hours.
