Crews Run Outside Fire Followed By Camper And Brush Fire

On March 29, 2026 Station 5 was alerted to a large outside fire on Collins Road in Avenue. Upon arrival Brush fire located two large areas burning and requested the assignment be upgraded. Units from Companies 5, 1 and 7 all operated at the scene.

While units were mopping up areas from the brush fire, Station 5 and surrounding Companies were alerted to Horse Shoe Road for a garage fire. Chief 5B arrived and located a camper and a vehicle on fire along with a brush fire. Multiple units from Companies 5, 2, 1 and 7 operated at the scene. The State Fire Marshals Office is investigating.
